The Marist University Pre-Vet Club is proud to be in operation after its official charter in February 2025. The club aims to develop a strong presence on campus and in Poughkeepsie through meetings, fundraisers, educational events, and volunteer opportunities. The club consists of a small group of individuals dedicated to animal welfare and health. The Pre-Vet Club is a warm and welcoming environment to all students studying any discipline. It's mission is to educate and uplift everyone, regardless of experience level.

Executive Board Members:

President: Norah Bracci

  • The president is the club representative. They have an active part in club planning, running member and board meetings, event evaluations, room reservations, and all other duties necessary to ensure the club is meeting standards. The president also takes a lead role in planning Outing Club trips and destinations, getting in contact with SGA representatives to confirm logistics, and ensuring that we keep our members safe.

Vice President: Antonia Stewart

  • The vice president is responsible for conducting meetings and assisting the president as necessary with planning member and board meetings and Outing Club trips.

Secretary: Ellen Schroeter

  • The secretary is responsible for attendance, tracking of priority points, taking club meeting notes and the organization of club plans.

Treasurer: Natalie Wirta

  • The treasurer is responsible for all financial duties within the club. This position deals with all club money, including gear, food, and other club finances.

Event Coordinator: Karina Quiridumbay

  • The webmaster is responsible for social media and communication as needed. They will update our pages and email list with meeting times, events, and all other important information that should be shared with our members. They will also manage and update website content.

Meeting Times

Tentatively slated for Tuesday evenings at 9:30 PM in DN 118. Volunteer events, speaker events, and fundraisers will occur throughout the semester and as the club becomes more established.

Earn Priority Points through Clubs and Activities

To earn one (1) point: Members must attend a minimum of 50% of club/organization meetings for the semester and 50% of club/organization activities.

To earn two (2) points: Members must attend a minimum of 50% of club/organization meetings for the semester and 75% of club/organization activities PLUS the community service event.

To earn three (3) points (executive board only): Officers must attend 50% of club meetings for the semester and 100% of club activities including community service. If executive board members do not complete all of the requirements to earn three points, they will be eligible to receive up to two points based on the above criteria.
