Dr. Madison LaBella

Assistant Professor of Management

Bio

Dr. Madison LaBella is an Assistant Professor of Management in the School of Management at Marist University. She earned her PhD in Organizational Behavior from Drexel University. Dr. LaBella's primary research interests include loneliness and belongingness, social connection, and psychological needs in the workplace. She is the founder and leader of the International Loneliness and Belongingness Research Group, a group of more than 50 scholars and practitioners who meet monthly to discuss research and practice to address the loneliness epidemic and related issues within organizations.

In addition to research, Dr. LaBella is passionate about assisting and empowering students in their academic, professional, and personal journeys to grow as current and future leaders. Before joining Marist, Dr. LaBella led leadership programs and courses in Organizational Behavior and Research with Industry at Drexel University, managed the Criminal Justice Research Center at Penn State Abington, and spent several years working for nonprofits in and around Philadelphia.
