Dr. Barry Silverman
Schlobach Distinguished Chair in Business
Bio
Dr. Silverman has been an educator and marketing professional for the last 30 years. He has consulted with Fortune 500 companies and has developed a specialty in Brand Strategy. He has taught on two continents and has been a featured speaker at the American Marketing Association.
He has been recognized for teaching excellence and his dissertation work explored the changing role of brands in consumer decision making. Dr. Silverman is a true thought leader in the field of marketing, uniquely able to combine years of commercial enterprise, business consulting and academic experience to opine on trending business and contemporary cultural topics.

City College of New York, 2019 - Revitalized a Branding and Integrated Communications course by applying viable and true learning objectives along with a cohesive roadmap that focuses on the importance of relationships when driving the success of a marketing program.
New York University, 2014 - Worked with local enterprise to create a collaborative network that enabled students to work on key marketing projects for these businesses and learn from the contemporary and "real-world" challenges of this network.
New York University 2015 - Founding advisor of student-run marketing blog: The NYU BrandLab, which was formed to advance the dialogue in the marketing community and give student鈥檚 an opportunity to interact with other marketers, while producing content that is relevant to the advancement of the marketing discipline.
New York University 2015 - Designed a new course titled "Advanced Brand Strategy" which was used internationally and domestically; online and in-person.
