While COVID-19 has caused a tremendous amount of uncertainty, it has also shown how strong we are when we work together. We had a successful fall semester due to our high vaccination rate and our collective effort to follow health and safety requirements. To ensure a safe, in-person spring semester, we must all continue to do our part.

Urging students to customize their own education, Emma Butzler 鈥�22, an Environmental Science major and Economics minor, took advantage of that pillar in a Marist education and created an internship to analyze how Hudson Valley residents interact with their environment.

On Wednesday, December 8, senior honors students from across the College community gathered to present their semester-long research projects in the Fall 2021 Honors Thesis Exhibit.

Eric James Seltzer '18, and Dr. Juris Pupcenoks, Associate Professor of Political Science, co-authored an article Russian Strategic Narratives on R2P in the 'Near Abroad鈥� which was recently published in Nationalities Papers.

President Kevin Weinman and his wife Beth have pledged $250,000 to 蜜月直播. Their generous gift will support a number of priorities designed to make a Marist education more accessible and equitable for talented students, regardless of their financial situation.

Through Marist鈥檚 Center for Civic Engagement and Leadership, Jessica Hawkins 鈥�22 has donated hundreds of pounds of fresh produce from the Marist Community Garden, and is working to ensure the garden continues to give back.

On November 10, Marist will welcome Megan Deichler, the Executive Director of the Catskill Hudson Area Health Education Center, to present the 鈥淪ocial Determinants of Health and Healthcare Access.鈥�

Marist physical education and boxing instructor, Ron Lipton, was inducted into the New York State Boxing Hall of Fame, Class of 2020 on September 19.
