Reunited鈥攁nd It Feels So Good to Be a Red Fox

November 4, 2025 鈥 Campus buzzed with activity October 24鈥26 as hundreds of Marist alumni and their families returned for the University鈥檚 annual Homecoming and Reunion Weekend. Across the two days of shared memories and gatherings, Red Foxes from across generations filled campus with energy and pride鈥攔econnecting, reminiscing, and celebrating the Marist community that always feels like home.
鈥淭hey say college is four years, but 蜜月直播 is forever,鈥 said Shamus Barnes '91. 鈥淚t鈥檚 so great to be back.鈥
Celebrating Alumni Achievement
The weekend once again shone a spotlight on Marist graduates whose professional accomplishments and service exemplify the Red Fox spirit. Trustee Ross Mauri '80, Jack Oehm '80, Katelyn Gallanty '15, and Bradley Mobeck '20 were recognized with during the Homecoming football game for their outstanding leadership, service, and contributions to the Marist community.
"Marist gave me the skills and values to lead with purpose,鈥 said Mauri. 鈥淭his honor is a celebration not just of my journey, but of the ongoing spirit of collaboration and service that defines the Red Fox family.鈥

Theatre Hall of Fame Honors
An additional highlight of Saturday鈥檚 schedule was the Theatre Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which recognized seven alumni and faculty members for their achievements and lasting influence on Marist Theatre. This year鈥檚 inductees鈥Beth Marshdoyle '75, Lisa M. (McCarroll) King '75, Peter C. McFadden '80, Yolanda L. Robano '90, Richard M. Cocchiara '95, Shelly L. Napoli-Yapchanyk '00, and Marissa L. Russo '15鈥攚ere celebrated during a special ceremony in the Nelly Goletti Theatre, surrounded by classmates, faculty, and students.
Alumnus Jim Joseph '91 attended the event and was excited to share his enthusiasm for Marist鈥檚 theatre program. 鈥淚 love coming back to Marist for Homecoming,鈥 he said. 鈥淚 get to reconnect with a lot of my former classmates and it鈥檚 always a highlight to meet other students who are part of this incredible program.鈥

Reconnecting Across Generations
Throughout the weekend, alumni enjoyed a robust lineup of activities, including campus tours, class reunions, family-friendly Residence Hall-O-Ween, and athletic events across multiple teams. A special congratulations to the 0 and 5 classes who celebrated milestone reunions - including the Class of 1965 and Class of 1975 who celebrated their 60th and 50th reunions! The festivities concluded with informal Sunday gatherings and campus strolls, giving alumni one more opportunity to share memories and reconnect.
